Eligibility for SSC GD

You must note that besides the eligibility criteria, you are also required to know the SSC GD Syllabus for final appointment. 

  • Nationality: The aspirant must be an Indian citizen. Also, the candidate must have a domicile/PRC in their state/UT.
  • Age: A candidate must be between the ages of 18 and 23.
  • Physical Criteria: The board has established several physical exams. An applicant must pass these physical criteria. The Physical Standard Test applies to both male and female candidates. To pass the physical standard exams, candidates must have the following physical measurements:

Physical Standard Test (PST) for SSC GD Constables-Height

Female: 157 cm. Male: 170 cm

Physical Standard Test (PST) for SSC GD Constables-Chest

Female: N/A Male: 80 cm (unexpanded)

  • Educational Requirements: The candidate must have completed Class 10th from a recognised board. Candidates taking the Class 10th test are ineligible. Considering it, 12th pass candidates can apply for the SSC GD exam. And, you don’t need an undergraduate degree to appear for the SSC GD exam.
  • Work experience: No prior work experience is required for the SSC GD Constable Exam 2022. Any freshman who meets all the eligibility requirements can apply for the examination.

Syllabus for SSC GD

The SSC GD syllabus is paramount for preparing for the General Duty Constable Exam. The SSC GD exam pattern and syllabus can help applicants design a well-organised approach for the exam. The topics covered under this section include arithmetical reasoning, problem-solving, number series, analogies, coding-decoding, figures, classification, etc.

  • Part C-Elementary Mathematics
